MCBDD highlights Medicaid-match pressures, recognizes Leadership Academy graduates

Stacy Malakar, representing MCBDD, told commissioners that the Medicaid match continues to be a pressing fiscal issue for county boards and that the state projects expanding fiscal emergencies for multiple counties in coming years. Malakar also recognized community members and program participants, naming the Medina County Junior Fair Board, Tyler Racy and Kimberly Maddox as "standout champions."
Malakar introduced Leadership Academy graduates Amanda Cracker, Alyssa Nutter and Lauren Bonas. Amanda Cracker said the program helped her learn "listening, communication, time management" and that she hoped the Leadership Academy would continue. The board and attendees congratulated the graduates and took a photo for the county newsletter.
