BOCC approves rezoning to RS-20 for Collinsville-area parcel after brief public hearing
Summary
Following a Planning Commission recommendation and a short public hearing with two speakers opposed and one in favor, the Rogers County BOCC unanimously approved rezoning Case #2654 from AR to RS-20 to allow a residential subdivision at the NE corner of E. 126th St. N. and N. 161st E. Ave.
At its Jan. 12 meeting the Rogers County Board of County Commissioners approved a zoning change (Case #2654) that will reclassify a property at the NE corner of E. 126th St. N. and N. 161st E. Ave. from AR (Agriculture-Residential) to RS-20 (Residential Single-Family Medium District). Planning Commission Deputy Director Brittany Senters presented the staff report; the Planning Commission had recommended approval 6-0. The public hearing record shows two speakers opposed and one in favor before the commissioners closed the hearing and voted to approve the rezoning.
Commissioner Dan DeLozier moved to approve the rezoning and Commissioner Steve Hendrix seconded; a roll-call vote recorded all three commissioners voting aye. The decision permits the applicant, Joe Pace, to pursue residential subdivision plans consistent with RS-20 zoning and applicable county conditions and reviews.
