The Tulsa County Board of County Commissioners presented Dan Witham with a special recognition at the June 1 meeting for 26 years of service on the Tulsa County Criminal Justice Authority Sales Tax Overview Committee. The Chair said the award honored Witham's ‘‘26 years of service and dedication as a board member... served 19 years as chairman and 7 years as a member,’’ and noted he will continue serving as a member of the committee (Chair, SEG 216–223).
The presentation included an invitation for Witham to come forward for a photo; the Board expressed appreciation for his long tenure and public service. No formal vote was required for the award, and the item was presented as part of routine recognition at the start of the business agenda.
