Parks superintendent: lifeguard trainings complete; splash pads and pools set to open

Michael Lebe, superintendent of park operations, told commissioners the parks department completed lifeguard and camp counselor training in preparation for upcoming openings. "Last week we completed some camp counseling training, lifeguard trainings in preparation for next week's splash park openings and pool openings," Lebe said.
Lebe noted sign installation at O'Brien is proceeding pending footings and reminded the board that recreation centers will be closed on Memorial Day while golf and tennis remain open; he also noted the Croquet Club's big Memorial Day tournament at LaFortune Park.
