"The one that really strikes out to me is recreational immunity and lodging tax flexibility," the mayor said while summarizing priorities. Commissioners voiced no objections and moved to adopt the priorities and authorize the mayor’s signature on letters of support as bills arise. The commission also conducted a second reading and adopted Ordinance 12‑90 (amending section 10.16 of the Warrenton municipal code); the ordinance will take effect in 30 days.
Staff will act on outreach to the League as legislative requests arise and will return to the commission for any formal letters of support as specific bills are introduced.
