Commissioners approve donation, salary resolution amendment, radio repair payment and adopt property-disposition procedure

The Pratt County Board of Commissioners approved multiple motions and resolutions during the Jan. 20, 2026 meeting. Commissioner Rick Shriver moved (seconded by Commissioner Thomas W. Jones III) and the board passed 3-0 a $500 donation to Skyline After Prom. The board also approved Resolution 01-20-2026 to amend and set the sheriff salary at $88,982 (motion by Commissioner Shriver, second by Commissioner Jones; passed 3-0).
Commissioners authorized payment to Bucklin Communication for radio repair to be paid from the commissioner budget (motion by Commissioner Shriver, second by Commissioner Jones; passed 3-0). The board reviewed and adopted Resolution 01-20-2026B, which establishes an alternative procedure for sale or disposition of county-owned property pursuant to KSA 19-211-B (motion by Commissioner Jones; second by Commissioner Shriver; passed 3-0). The meeting record shows votes were unanimous on the recorded motions. The board also approved the Jan. 12, 2026 meeting minutes and the vouchers for Jan. 20, 2026 before adjourning.
