CDBG sewer project moves toward pipe push and generator delivery; final connection expected after holidays

City staff reported progress on the CDBG Seward Springboard sewer project at the Nov. 18 meeting. Staff said crews had removed the auger from the boring tube and expected to begin pushing pipe the following Thursday, estimating one to two weeks to complete that section before the final manhole connection and final generator delivery.
Staff noted the final generator was expected around Christmas and that a temporary generator with wheels was currently at the pump station while the permanent unit is awaited. "Then everything will go live," staff said once the last connection and generator are in place.
No council action was required; staff said construction meetings would pause for Thanksgiving and resume Dec. 5.
