Crawford County adopts May 2026 budget amendments and sets FY2027 schedule

County Controller Paul Compo presented General Fund and Special Revenue Fund budget amendments dated May 31, 2026, and the board approved both during the May 28 meeting. On the General Fund amendments the motion was recorded as “Motion by Kraycs, second by Goscicki, to accept the general fund budget amendments as presented”; the Special Revenue Fund amendments passed on a motion by Moore, second by Lewis. Both roll calls were recorded as unanimous 'aye'.
Compo also presented the fiscal year 2027 budget schedule, which the board adopted later in the meeting on a motion by Kraycs, second by Frederick. Compo told the board that POAM Road negotiations have a first meeting scheduled for June 23, 2026, and that the Crawford County Brownfield Authority will meet June 10 to discuss an EPA grant and local projects including the Sawmill Lofts development.
