Director Crystal Natan told the board Lancaster CYA has made 10 voucher referrals for youth homelessness. She said Community Basics is working on a new shelter for people ages 18–21 and that Valley Youth House will provide social services for that shelter; she added that 212 youth have engaged with the homelessness system.
Board members said multiple partner initiatives are in play—Deb Jones cited 75 partners involved across three initiatives—and discussed coordination challenges and the need for continued coalition work to address youth homelessness.
