District says Beckman Creek can absorb Frog Pond students for one year amid delay

District administrators told the board that Beckman Creek can absorb students who would have attended Frog Pond for at least one year if the new school’s opening is delayed.
"We are seeing a steady increase of enrollment at Beckman Creek, due to the development at Frog Pond. However, we are still well within capacity to absorb those students for 1 more year," Dr. Pryor said. He detailed options including repurposing unused classroom space, bringing in modular classrooms currently used for district programs, or reactivating an adjacent building previously used for classrooms as a last resort.
Board members asked these capacity questions during the discussion of the delay so the public could understand immediate operational impacts; district staff said they can manage student placements in the short term while completion and bond-surety arrangements are resolved.
