PTO and boosters announce Girls on the Run registration, movie night and fall fundraising

A representative of the parent/teacher organizations told the board that registration is open for Girls on the Run for girls in grades 3–5, running Sept. 14 through Nov. 15 with sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays; Hopatcong residents are being offered a reduced fee. “Girls on the Run, its registration has opened up,” the representative said and encouraged families to sign up and for coaches to volunteer.
The Municipal Alliance will host a free outdoor summer movie night on Friday, Aug. 21 at the Town Tennis Court Pavilion and is seeking volunteers; the alliance’s next meeting is scheduled for Aug. 17 at 6:15 p.m. A booster-club speaker described fall-sports fundraising plans for football, cheer and soccer, reminded attendees that the first home game is scheduled for Aug. 27 at 6:00 p.m., and noted homecoming events the following weekend.
