Monthly report: Three juveniles in secure placements; seven direct-file youth across several facilities

Danielle DeMateo of Delaware County Juvenile Court Probation Services reported the county had three juveniles in secure placements and seven direct-file youth in a variety of facilities.
"For today's report, we have 3 juveniles, all males, 1 at Montgomery, a juveniles, all males, 1 at Montgomery, Abraxas, and an Adulte Village. We have 7 direct file youth," DeMateo said. She listed placements including two at Abraxas, one at George Junior and three in the local jail; one direct-file youth was in Jefferson County, Ohio.
Board members asked for follow-up data about how many youth are on electronic monitoring and whether violation and outcome data are tracked. Directors and staff said some of those data exist but that comprehensive, recent reports were not immediately available and that Director DeMateo would be the contact to supply further figures and historical data.
Members emphasized the need for outcome reporting rather than program descriptions — for example, how often assessments recommend detention and the downstream results when the recommendation is or is not followed.
