Staff presented a contract recommendation to move fire-monitoring services to Industrial Electronic Systems Inc., reporting a projected savings of nearly $6,000 compared with the district’s current vendor. Jason said the vendor and pricing had been reviewed and met the district’s procurement criteria.
"Tamara's team reviewed the vendor, to make sure that they are a reputable company, reviewed the pricing, and noticed that the pricing would actually save us almost $6,000 from our current vendor," Jason said. Trustees moved and seconded the recommendation and approved the contract.
No trustee questions were recorded about vendor performance specifics in the public session; staff said the vendor review and savings estimate were included in the board packet and that the contract award is intended to maintain service levels while reducing cost.
