Counseling report: district highlights freshman outreach, dual enrollment and increased in-house counseling

Counseling staff recorded a jump in in-house referrals (47 this year compared with 33 last year) and helped 81 unduplicated students sign up for dual-enrollment courses for fall 2024.
The report also noted progress on A–G completion, which rose from 37% to 41% last year, and described supports such as link crew, SST meetings and college information nights (bilingual offerings included). The superintendent invited trustees to submit questions for follow-up and said staff would get additional data on truancy and other metrics when final figures are available.
