Carmel Clay Schools honors three state‑champion teams at July board meeting

Mister Inskeep introduced the girls' tennis team and described an unexpected, deep state‑tournament run in which the team defeated seven top‑15 opponents and beat the top seed in its sectional. He noted coach Kirsten Carlson, who began the year as interim head coach, became the permanent head coach after the season and was the youngest head coach at Carmel to win a state championship.
Inskeep also introduced the girls track and field team, which won a second consecutive state title, and the boys lacrosse team, which finished 17–2 and defeated Culver Academy. Coaches and student athletes came forward to be acknowledged by the board.
