Policy reviews put on hold after court action; board told to revert to current policies

A staff member told the board that several policies under review were taken off the review list after a recent court action in Kentucky. "There was some, a judge in Kentucky. Something went down, and so these are not to be reviewed at this time," the staff member said, and advised the board to rely on current policies until any rewritten drafts return for review.
The staff member said the policies will likely be rewritten at some point and cautioned that if related issues arise the board must refer back to existing policy language. The board did not take immediate action beyond acknowledging the hold and intends to revisit revised drafts in the spring.
