Commission approves payroll, vouchers and vendor payments; meeting adjourns

During general business the board approved payroll and vouchers covering county operations. The payroll and department totals approved in the minutes include entries such as: Sheriff payroll $72,028.35; Jail payroll $73,392.96; Highway payroll $60,943.98; and E-911 payroll $31,307.58. The minutes also list vendor payments to a long roster of suppliers and contractors (examples include Black Hills Pioneer, Deadwood Carnegie Library, Monument Health, and many others).
After approving payroll and vouchers the commission adjourned at 9:30 a.m. and the minutes were attested by Auditor Brenda McGruder. The motion to approve payments carried by the board and payments will be drawn on the proper funds as recorded in the minutes.
