The Willamina School District 30J board approved the consent agenda and then adopted two budget resolutions at its regular meeting. Committee member (S6) moved to approve the consent agenda; the motion was seconded and passed after members responded "aye."
Board member (S3) described the first decision item as an Oregon Department of Education (ODE) recommendation to add a line for "community services" under Fund 100 and to adjust a bond closing amount for Piper from $300,000 to $279,238. "We're actually, reducing the amount that we're collecting for that bond payment," S3 said. Committee member (S6) moved to adopt resolution 2324-O2 "as recommended by ODE," and the board approved it by voice vote. S6 later moved to adopt resolution 2324-O3, described as Piper's recommendation to categorize taxes for the 2024-25 budget; that motion also passed by voice vote.
The board recorded no objections during either vote and the chair announced the motions passed. The board did not provide additional public testimony on either resolution during the meeting.
