Vice Chair Wyatt presented draft board goals and asked the board to adopt them for the 2024–25 year. "The 1st is that together, we will research, develop, and adopt an anti racism policy," Wyatt told the board, and then outlined goals for monitoring student engagement, valuing community voice and convening a long-range planning process culminating in a bond summit in spring 2025.
Directors discussed the draft goals and thanked staff and the superintendent for creating an actionable calendar to track progress. A director moved to adopt the board goals and the board approved the motion by roll call with all recorded as aye. The board also confirmed its tentative schedule for related work sessions and student engagement events.
