The Planning Commission approved a site plan from Home Depot to codify permanent and seasonal outdoor sales and storage at the Hoover Road location, subject to detailed staff conditions.
George Ostrowski of the engineering team described the submission and said Home Depot agreed to follow staff recommendations. Planning staff asked for clarified parking calculations, photometric updates and limits on fixture heights, and recommended a $1,000 performance bond to secure landscape and related improvements. "All lighting on the site shall be shielded and not encroach upon abutting properties," staff said while reading required notes.
Commissioners moved and seconded approval with the recommended conditions. The petitioner said Home Depot accepted the changes and envisioned the approval would avoid annual return trips for routine seasonal storage approvals.
