Jefferson County commissioners on Jan. 20 received and filed a resolution concerning juvenile probation commitment and detention funding and authorized the county judge to submit a family treatment court grant application (application number 1868921) to the Office of the Governor Criminal Justice Division for fiscal years 2026 and 2027.
The court also voted to receive and file a resolution supporting legislation to exempt Jefferson County from the state hotel occupancy tax. The Judge moved the three items; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. No public comment was recorded on these items during the meeting.
