Court updates Kaufman County thoroughfare map to match TxDOT/Forney alignment

John Casey presented the City of Forney’s request to amend Kaufman County’s thoroughfare map so it aligns with a TxDOT schematic for the 460/740 corridor. He said TxDOT approved the schematic and the county plan still showed the older T intersection alignment; the request asked the county to update its map so plans are consistent across jurisdictions.
"The remaining piece is the Kaufman County thoroughfare plan, which still shows the old T alignment... So to get on the same page, we would respectfully ask that you update your repair plan," John Casey said. Commissioners discussed bond-era engineering assumptions and agreed to update the county plan; a motion to approve the amendment carried.
