Staff explained the update followed changes adopted to the county’s drainage standards on March 31 and that the revisions increase required finished‑floor elevations by 3 feet in unstudied flood areas and by 2 feet in studied areas.
Road and Bridge staff summarized the technical changes and the court held a public hearing with no speakers signed up. Following the hearing, the court closed the public hearing and approved the amendments unanimously to bring the county code into alignment with its drainage standards. The court recorded that the Flood Damage Prevention Order had last been adopted on 09/30/2025 and these amendments update Article 5, sections b and d for zones AE and A/O/AE/AH.
