Constable Borders explained the 36‑month warranty cost was $10,800 ($3,600 per year) and the AI software was $3,000 per year; the revised motion excluded training and totaled $13,800. "So the 10,800 for the 3 year warranty and the $3,000 for the AI software. So 13,800," Borders said. The vendor indicated the existing x‑ray machine should be serviceable for another 8 to 10 years.
Commissioners moved and seconded the adjusted purchase and approved it without opposition. The court recorded that training would be handled separately and might come from a different budget line if needed.
