Ellis County’s commissioners approved acceptance of a $561,647 performance bond to guarantee construction of Tailwind Drive for the National IOS Waxahachie 33L subdivision, a roughly 26.89‑acre site located near FM 66 and Howland Lane.
Alberto Maras, director of development, said the bond covers construction of the road for the subdivision and that staff recommended acceptance. "The applicant is requesting for the county to accept a performance bond in the amount of $561,647 and this will be for the construction of Tailwind Drive in that subdivision," Maras said.
Commissioners moved and seconded the item and approved it unanimously. The approval follows prior court action that accepted the final plat for one lot in the subdivision; additional lots will return for plating once the road is built.
