Court approves West Wingray RV Park IDP after drainage and emergency-access review

County staff presented an infrastructure development plan for a proposed 2.43-acre West Wingray RV Park and the court approved the plan following technical questions about drainage and access.
"We've done all the work ... we've accounted for the property" the presenter said, describing a plan with full and standard RV spaces, eight parking spots, a dog park, an office/laundry building and a pavilion. The presenter said drainage was designed to the 100-year storm, with an 18-inch outfall pipe to Westernwood Drain and measures to ensure the site releases less runoff than current conditions.
Commissioners pressed on emergency-vehicle maneuverability and the presenter referenced NFPA-based turning radii and a 24-foot width with 30-foot minimum turn radius for RVs. The presenter also noted that water service would use existing connections (fewer than 15) and that a septic system must be designed and approved by the Victoria Health Department before construction can proceed.
After brief discussion the court moved, seconded and approved the IDP by voice vote; staff said they would proceed with permitting and any required health-department submittals.
