The Judge said the county received two quotes and that the chosen contractors have liability and workers' comp insurance; staff said the courthouse roof replacement can be completed in about three weeks and that the metal roofing will be installed with sealed seams.
Commissioners noted the preservation fund balance (discussed as nearly $500,000 in the meeting) and called the project preventative maintenance to avoid future leaks. "They provide us insurance, cover this on workers' comp and liability insurance... it will look just like what we got now," the Judge said. The motion to proceed was moved, seconded and approved.
