The commissioners approved entering an interlocal mutual aid agreement with Isleta Pueblo to assist with wildland fires. The Judge said Brewster County will provide help if needed and that response order would likely place Jeff Davis and Presidio County ahead of Brewster for initial response in that area.
The motion was moved and seconded and the court approved the agreement. The Judge said county personnel had visited the Pueblo site and described it as a small, functioning property near a local landmark; he said the county would support firefighting assistance within the agreed mutual-aid framework.
