County staff introduced an inducement resolution for a locally based company identified as Project Bubble that seeks to expand manufacturing capacity in Florence County. The county described the project as an anticipated investment of at least $38,925,000 with creation of approximately 108 full‑time jobs and requested authorization to provide incentive tools including a fee‑in‑lieu and a $250,000 cash grant for eligible infrastructure costs funded from economic development funds.
"Project Bubble is anticipated investment of at least $38,925,000 and the creation of approximately 108 new full time jobs," a county representative said while presenting the inducement resolution. Council moved and approved the resolution by voice vote. Staff said the company’s identity will be revealed as the project moves forward and that any incentive agreement would be subject to standard contract terms and performance obligations.
