The Crawford County Board of Commissioners on March 12 approved a multi-fund claims run that included $538,592.89 in General Fund disbursements. The motion to authorize payments passed by roll call (motion by Commissioner Kraycs, second by Commissioner Moeller) with Jamison recorded as absent.
County Controller Paul Compo presented the budget performance report for the period ending Feb. 28, 2026, saying, “Revenue is down 3.7% compared to last year.” The report included a number of notable line-item changes: revenue stamps were up about 35%, MRTMA receipts declined roughly 50% compared with last year (and about 20% to budget), court revenue increased about 18%, and District Court costs rose about 33%. Jail revenue was described as roughly three times higher compared to the same period last year.
Board members did not propose additional budget amendments at the meeting. The board approved the claims motion after questions about totals and fund-by-fund line items were answered by staff. The controller distributed the full Budget Performance Report for review and the board retained oversight while staff continues to monitor variances.
