"I believe that there's authority for the commission to reduce that tax back down, if that were to happen," Walker said on the record, and he asked that the commission delay action to a work session so staff and counsel could finalize precise language for the ballot and any companion resolution.
Commissioners agreed to defer formal action, allow the county attorney to draft the companion language and bring the item back to a future work session so the county can meet ballot‑language deadlines while ensuring clarity for voters.
