The district's finance presenter told trustees the November state payment materially helped cash flow and that the district sits at about 73% of its budgeted revenue for the fiscal year to date. The presenter said salaries and benefits are the district's largest expenditure, making up roughly 85–90% of monthly expenditures in the reported period.
"We're at 73% of of budget, which is a super helpful thing for cash flow," the finance presenter said while reviewing the November report. The presenter noted the district is in generally good financial health compared with some districts that lack similar reserves and that enrollment is essentially flat — down two students compared with the same period last year.
Trustees discussed state revenue uncertainties and potential legislative changes that could affect future payment timing; staff said they will monitor dynamics and report back during the upcoming legislative session.
