Clerk reported that the town must send a change‑of‑appraisal notice to every property owner and proposed including a copy of the updated appraisals with that mailing to reduce confusion and complaints. The clerk said distributing the appraisal to everyone would add postage but ease grievances: "I have to send out a change of appraisal notice to every single person in this town anyway, which is a stamp," the clerk said.
Board members agreed it would be better to include appraisal copies in the mailing rather than rely on residents to visit the town office, noting many residents do not use online resources. Separately, members discussed a notice that utility rates may increase and said they would monitor the matter as it develops.
