Brent Casey, a resident who addressed the court during public comment, said county-owned materials are being stored on private property and that he has documentation of misappropriated county funds. “We have county material sitting on private property that belongs to we the citizens of San Patricio County,” he told the court.
Casey said he raised the issue more than a year ago and, with no resolution, warned citizens may take the matter to state authorities. He also urged commissioners to prioritize water protections, citing a hydrologist’s view that intrusion into water sources is a possibility and adding, “Remember this you can't drink money.” The court did not take action on the allegation during the meeting.
