The Jefferson County Commissioners Court approved several auditor items on Jan. 13, including a budget transfer of $3,843 to replace chairs delayed from the previous budget year and to buy cameras for network security for the 252nd District Court. The presiding official read the item into the record and called for a motion; the court approved the transfer by voice vote.
The court also authorized the county judge to electronically sign Amendment No. 6 to the Texas General Land Office contract (contract number given in the record as 5100And21C408) to expand time and revise federal assurances and certifications. In addition, the meeting received a High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) grant modification that reduced the fund by $13,999.88 to $10,552.12 under grant number G224HN0029A; the court accepted the modification on the agenda. Regular county bills for 01/13/2026 were also presented and approved.
