Angelina County approves consent agenda including multiple 2025 budget transfers

The Angelina County Commissioners Court approved its consent agenda on Feb. 10, 2026, which included approval of the Jan. 27, 2026 minutes, departmental reports and authorization for payment of bills. The consent package also contained several 2025 budget transfers across departments to cover identified shortfalls and planned expenses.
Among the transfers, $6,000 was moved from Contingency (#088-188-4647) to cover Expo Center shop and office supplies, and $9,400 was moved from Utilities/Electricity (#010-025-4702) to Capital Outlay (#010-025-4995) for the County Jail citing increased inmate medical issues. Kermit Kennedy moved to approve the consent agenda and Tim Sprinkle seconded; the motion carried as recorded.
