City Manager Greg reviewed highlights from the six-month annual performance plan and upcoming priorities, emphasizing regional emergency-preparedness work and grant activity.
Greg said Troutdale secured a grant on behalf of the three cities to update emergency operations planning and that the three-city partners are scheduling trainings in multiple languages. On capital projects, Greg said the CDBG park project is currently out for bid and staff hope to award the contract in February. He also updated council on the wetlands-park delineation, saying initial design likely need not change and staff will begin community outreach once delineation is complete.
Greg discussed engagement in the state legislative session on housing and public-safety priorities and noted staff outreach on economic development (East Connect) and digital-literacy partnerships. He told council the three-city managers are coordinating on the regional fire-service proposal and will return with an update ahead of planned community education and any ballot requests.
