Public works reports sewer CCTV completion, lift-station upgrades and reduced system loss

The director of public works told council that the wastewater CCTV project is nearly complete and that crews used the opportunity to update laterals and collect missing data for the city's asset inventory.
Staff said two new pumps were installed at the Shea Lift Station and that SCADA and facility security upgrades are complete for sewer and water systems. The director reported water figures for the prior year: just over 150,000,000 gallons consumed and a little over 170,000,000 gallons produced, with a slight decrease in total system loss compared with the previous year. "For the annual consumption, we had just a little over a 150,000,000 gallons that were consumed," the director said. Staff are continuing trunk-line flow monitoring and will use results to identify potential leaks and prioritize repairs.
The report also noted recent streets and amenity work, new businesses opening on the byway and staffing updates within public works.
