Kaufman County commissioners approved an $8,000 amendment to the Teague Noland Perkins contract for the South Highway 34/175 Connector Road project so the firm's hydraulic study can be submitted to FEMA for review and map updates.
Miss Brenda (Speaker 8), who presented the item, explained that the fee covers submission of the contractor———————————study and that FEMA will use the filing to update flood-plain maps to reflect the connector road. She said the fee is a flat $8,000 and that the county has sufficient balance in the connector-road account to cover it after the payment.
Commissioners asked no substantive questions and approved the expenditure by motion.
