New vestibules and gate controls nearly complete at district schools, administration says

District staff described multiple near-complete facilities projects intended to improve campus security and arrival flow. The presenter (Staff member S1) said the MES and LES vestibules are nearly finished and that the gate-control access doors should be wired and functional before students return for the school year on Aug. 25.
"MES LES vestibule is nearly complete," S1 said, and invited board members to visit MBS or LES to see the new entrances. S1 added that staff will be back on Aug. 18 for an all-staff event at the technical school gymnasium and estimated about 220 staff will attend for a picture and orientation.
Board members and staff also noted active campus preparations for fall athletics and extracurriculars, with fields and gyms in use for practices. The district emphasized communication to families about visible changes such as fences and other structural work before the first day of school.
No capital appropriation or contract awards were finalized during this segment; the discussion served as a project status update and an invitation for board members to inspect the work.
