The elections presenter described heavy overtime and manual work required under the state system, and the office’s expectation that the vendor’s first-year licensing cost would be roughly $250,000 with an annual maintenance fee near $73,000 in subsequent years. “This is the amount that's paid for this licensing is for the 1st year, and then the maintenance agreement is approximately $73,000 each year after,” the presenter said. Commissioners moved to approve the contract and it carried by voice vote; the procurement is intended to improve data reliability for poll books and reporting.
