Council approved Resolution 26 to allocate $60,303.36 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to the county Information Technology Department. Staff said the money will implement secure "go anywhere" file-transfer software (procured through Carahsoft) to secure information-file transfers and improve vendor processing. Staff also said the ARPA funds will be obligated by Dec. 31, 2024 and may be reallocated after obligation.
The resolution passed on a motion and second with no further debate. Council emphasized the need to secure data transfers and noted the allocation can be adjusted if operational needs change.
