The San Patricio County Commissioners Court handled a series of routine business items at its April 27 meeting, approving minutes, bills, budget transfers, and multiple contracts and personnel moves by voice vote.
The court approved the April 20 meeting minutes and moved to pay the presented bills. It approved several budget line-item transfers (parks, precinct engineering and environmental health) and accepted the treasurer's report, which included a $37,500 health transfer request and recurring Centivo/Chase bank-processing fees.
On contracts and agreements the court extended a sheriff's office radio-tower light maintenance contract from three to five years at $5,546.88 per year and approved juvenile detention placement agreements with Cameron County and Reagan County. The tax assessor-collector's office was authorized to enter into a tax collection agreement with the St. Lawrence Municipal Utility District, and the court instructed the auditor to issue an RFP for a countywide copier-lease program.
Finally, the court approved multiple personnel items—resignations, hirings and transfers across the clerk's office, sheriff's office and maintenance staff—with effective dates and pay grades recorded in the minutes. All items were carried by voice vote with motions and seconds recorded in the public record.
