The presiding official said the signed resolution would be sent to Goliad County Judge Bennett and to the governor's office in Austin.
Commissioners expressed support for a collaborative approach. "I am happy to see we're taking a coordinated collaboration approach," Commissioner Yardley said during the discussion. The record shows the motion carried by voice vote and the judge said he would forward the resolution to neighboring jurisdictions for joint action.
