County IT staff explained that the court approved a three-year managed IT services contract for main locations and a separate one-year agreement for select sites that will migrate to fiber or Starlink. The one-year contract gives the county flexibility to move certain locations off legacy ISPs as fiber deployment proceeds, the IT representative said.
The court also approved a 60‑month lease for 190 desktop computers to support a Windows 11 conversion; the annual lease cost recorded in the meeting was $59,832.73. The IT representative noted that five-year refresh cycles are standard for desktop deployments and the county can opt to pay off the lease early if needed.
