Three Lubbock County campuses earn 'Healthy Recognized School Campus' recognition, AgriLife reports

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service staff updated the Commissioners Court on extension programming and announced that three Lubbock County campuses qualified for the state's 'Healthy Recognized School Campus' recognition after participating in at least three extension programs.
Amber Bozeman, county agent for Urban Youth Development, said the three campuses participated in programs including Walk Across Texas and Learn Grow Eat Go; Bozeman reported more than 1,800 student participants and about 150 adults across programs. The court was told the recognitions will be presented at local school board meetings later in the summer and that extension staff hope to expand the program to additional campuses next year.
