The Lubbock County Commissioners Court on July 13 approved budget transfers and amendments as presented by the auditor's office and authorized the payment of $4,616,131.16 in general-account claims.
At the meeting the auditor reported transfers and amendments for consideration, saying, "This morning we have budget transfers in the amount of, transfers for about 476,799 thousand. We have budget amendments in the amount of $311,653 and ask for your approval." The court then voted to approve the transfers and amendments and later authorized the claims payment as presented. The court also approved consent agenda items 4 through 12 without any items pulled for separate consideration.
The approvals came by voice vote with the presiding officer calling for the question and the court indicating the motions carried. No recorded roll-call tallies of named votes were provided in the public proceeding.
