Patty Furtick of Camino Real read the proclamation, which noted that suicide claims more than 48,000 lives nationally each year and that rural areas face higher mortality rates in some counties. The group introduced staff who work locally and described clinic and peer-support roles. Judge Jay Heitke signed the proclamation and invited staff for a photo.
Camino Real urged residents to check on loved ones, seek support, and participate in free training and local crisis services. The court thanked the group and acknowledged the organization’s role in county mental health outreach.
