The Karnes County Commissioners Court on Sept. 9 approved RM Quality Construction LLC’s lone bid to construct five three-bedroom dwellings under the TBHCA home reconstruction assistance program.
Judge Jay Heitke read the addresses and per-home figures: 212 East Wall Street at $160,000 and four other homes—302 West Crockett Street, 420 South 5th Street, 1311 Nueces, and 417 East Buchel—each at $169,000, for a total contract amount of $836,000. Heitke then called for a motion; commissioners voted and the motion carried.
The court’s action accepts the only qualified bid and authorizes moving forward with construction. No amendments or alternate funding sources were discussed during the vote. The county will proceed with contracting and scheduling construction with RM Quality Construction LLC.
