Greg, a parks staff member, provided an economic-development update: several tenants (Sushi Ninja, Kai Coffee) have completed tenant improvements and were expected to open in the coming weeks; Fish Forever signed off on its package and a Chick-fil-A approval remains in place for a parcel with drive-through/walk-up service and no dine-in. Greg said the county is planning striping changes along Wood Village Boulevard to address confusing merge lanes, and staff has a crosswalk design with flashing beacons in progress for a needed crossing near the park.
Commissioners expressed support for the crosswalk and noted it as a safety priority; Greg said the crosswalk beacons are in design and will proceed through county review for installation.
